The GLLU in 2009

During the Inaugural detail on January 20, 2009, GLLU Officer Hakir was assigned to work with the
United States Secret Service doing counter surveillance. Because she knew her assignment might require
her to be on rooftops and outside for prolonged periods of time, she searched for a way to keep warm.
She found it. On a break, Secret Service agents marveled at Officer Hakir's undergarment, a brown mink fur jacket,
which was neatly concealed under her issued and approved MPDC nylon uniform coat. Needless to say, Officer Hakir's attire,
creativity and style are now legendary with our peers in the Secret Service.
